Younger Sibling Problems

Ever had a fight with your younger sibling/s? Ever had a fight with them and get blamed for everything? I'm an older sister and believe it or not, I ALWAYS have fights with my 6 year old brother, Kevin. He is just a little brat!

But the unfair thing is, I always get blamed! Just cos I'm "The older sibling".

I mean, yes I'm the older one and I should treat my younger brother nicely. But would you be able to not chase after your younger sibling/s when they bash open your door and walk into your bedroom like they own the place, take whatever they like, and walk out? Or would you be able keep yourself from exploding with anger, when your younger sibling/s damage something expensive or important, and you get the blames just cos you're "The older sibling" who needs to keep an eye on them younger ones?

Let me tell you a bit about the little brat I live with, the reason I'm writing this.

Kevin never listens to me anymore unless I repeat what I said at least 3 times, raising my voice every time, louder and louder. People who hear me will think I'm crazy. (need a ride to the mental hospital? =.=) Sometimes I even end up yelling when he is just a few meters away from me. Then if he doesn't want to do what I told him to do, he would reply with a shattering high pitched scream to which mum would immediately yell stop. And when he doesn't stop? I get the blame.

Also the room entering thing. Not a day passes by without Kevin opening my door, walks in, looks around, asks for something, and then yelling/screaming to parents if I don't give it to him. I NEED A LOCK ON MY DOOR!!! But when I ask for one, my parents just say: "You're the older sister! Be nice to your brother!" I mean, what do I get for giving him the things he wants? NOTHING! Nothing but a few days later seeing them abandoned somewhere in a corner, sometimes damaged, along with a dozen of his "trash toys".

Another thing that gets me exploding with anger is how I have to clean things up after him. He is 6 years old now! Old enough to clean up his own mess of toys, food scraps and general rubbish! But nope, he leaves toys lying around the house, food wrappings thrown aside, and used tissues left on the tables and sofa. And guess who has to do the cleaning up most of the time? Me. And guess who gets blamed for the house being a mess? Me. Sick of it.

OK, there we go, a fifth of the things about the little brat I have to deal with. Just a reminder that I won't be always posting my new blog entries on fb now so if you're interested, click on that little star thingy somewhere on the top of the webpage to save this blog as a favourite, and visit often to check out new stuff :D Chat to yous later!
