During dinner today Dad asked Mum to tell me about his "stupid story" of what he did today. I immediately became interested cos Dad is always the one who does the stupidest things in the family (I probably come right after on the list) Mum started laughing and food spat out of her mouth which got me laughing, which made me choke :/ but anyways, so the story goes like this: Mum and Dad went out shopping with youngest bro today and at the shopping centre Dad pushed the trolley while Mum took care of the pram. Mum went off to get the eggs when Dad pushed an almost full trolley to the freezer section. A few minutes later Mum went to join him and he pushed the trolley and started walking. An old lady started shouting at him from the back and at first Dad didn't notice that HE WAS PUSHING THAT OLD LADY's TROLLEY WHICH WASN'T EVEN HALF FULL!!! Dad still didn't notice and was thinking WTH is wrong with the lady until a few seconds of awkwardness, Mum quickly told him that he had pushed away the wrong trolley that looked really different from his. Stupid or not? Seriously... so embarrassing -.-
The story led to another funny situation that Mum started to mention which Dad caused a few years ago when my 1st lil bro was still in kindy. I laughed even harder at this one cos I was there when it happened. We went to get bro from kindy one afternoon and at the gate, dad started pushing the gate... it didn't open so he tried pulling it... it still didn't budge. Next thing I knew, I was watching him shaking the gate violently. I checked around the gate and noticed that the actual opening was on the right of where Dad was trying to open. So basically, he was shaking the fence NEXT TO the actual gate the whole time :O like, WTF?! LOL
Another story Mum then mentioned to further describe Dad's stupidity was a situation that happened back when we lived in Sydney. It was the first year that my parents participated in the voting and I went along with them to the centre near our house. Dad finished filling out the form thing and looked around for where to put it. After a while Mum finished hers and both of them started looking around for where to hand the forms in. Dad then pointed to a rectangular hole at the back of the cardboard stand thingy that was used as a table and he said to Mum: "Oh there it is!" Mum didn't even think before following Dad's lead and slipped the form into the hole. Right after they did so I noticed that the cardboard table thing was leaning against a wall. And then i realised that the hole was probably just a decoration thingy so I started laughing and told my parents about it. They pushed the table away and found their forms on the ground, lying there. LOL what was Dad thinking?! He didn't even think, nor did Mum...
So overall... you get the point, my Dad is just...
